Another puzzling, fiendishly complicated mystery for Inspector Cullot and his world-famous Team to solve… Can the Inspector, together with Sergeant Watkins and Cullot’s gorgeous daughter Stephanie, solve the mystery of the corpse that disappeared? Such a mind-boggling mystery is soon followed by a whole series of disappearing corpses being reported all over London… And, worst of all, is the fourth member of Scotland Yard’s top-notch Team, namely the bumbling, bemused PC Blunt, the actual murderer? Is the love of Cullot’s life, the still stunningly attractive ex-movie star Joan Butler, somehow involved? And what’s the role, if any, of Lord Fotheringay, Stephanie’s latest lover, in the whole affair? Cullot and his elite Murder Squad embark on one of the most baffling cases they have ever met in their pursuit of a horde of suspects, clues and disappearing corpses across London, leading them into direct confrontation with one of the most ruthless gangs the world has ever known, as well as a collection of the sexiest and most jaw-droppingly appealing women imaginable, and the swankiest, most fashionable habitations in the land…until a bloody and violent finale in a luxury country house… Oh, and of course…as always, the chase is accompanied by the wit and sparkling repartee the world’s greatest detective and subordinates bring to all their cases. And what about Sergeant Watkins’s red-hot love for Stephanie, Cullot’s beautiful and outrageously provocative daughter? Will there be a successful conclusion to his tormented passion? Read on, if you can take the thrills, the twists, the laughs and the inimitable panache of yet another case in the breath-taking annals of the world’s most famous detective.

The Case Of The Disappearing Corpses Inspector Cullot Mystery Series Book 3 eBook Alan Hardy

Poor PC Blunt. He's back if you can ever say the man was ever fully present in the first place. He's in big trouble in this third installment of the Inspector Cullot mysteries. Has he lost his mind? Not that Detective Constable Stephanie Gorge, Cullot's daughter and co-investigator in the case of the missing corpses, regards as much to lose. Is he on drugs? For one reason or another, Blunt's not in any shape to help solve the crime even though he found himself at the murder scene and arrested himself posthaste. Problematic when the body is missing and the woman he thought he murdered is very much alive. What is going on?
The game is, as they say, afoot, and the search is on in the true ribald fashion of an Inspector Cullot mystery to figure out who-dun-what. A bawdy romp ensues as Cullot pursues the case of the missing corpses, as in more than one, yes. Along the way they play with words and toy with poor Blunt, mercilessly. Did one of Cullot's long list of suspects, indeed, commit a horrible crime that cries out to be solved by the legendary sleuth? You'll just have to read this third installment for yourself to find out if the legend continues.

The Case Of The Disappearing Corpses Inspector Cullot Mystery Series Book 3 eBook Alan Hardy Reviews

This is the third book in author, Alan Hardy's Inspector Cullot's Mystery Book Series and since I'd read the first two books in the Series, I was sure I would not be disappointed. And, I'm not. Inspector Cullot is as witty as ever and equally insightful as becomes apparent to his investigative team when he astutely points out early in the team's fact finding that 'before this case is over, there will be more than one corpse which will have disappeared.'

This book demands your attention from the first paragraph and holds it through the many unexpected plot twists and turns. The author's masterful use of satire and humor continue to make me a Hardy fan. Quirky characters, their well developed personalities and the feisty, sometimes cantankerous, dialogue make this book an intriguing read.

I highly recommend this book!
Nothin' better than a good old Alan Hardy mystery! In this 3rd installment, he doesn't disappoint. After reading the first paragraph, I gasped in horror! Say it ain't so, PC Blunt! Is the bloke on hallucinogens? Enter the trusty crew, led by the infamous Inspector Cullot. I LOVED the addition of Stephanie in the previous book, Bosoms and she lends quite a contribution to this book. Her endless chides at PC Blunt are hilarious. But we DO have a murder to solve here. So is it somebody or some body, Inspector Cullot is asked. "All in good time" he tells us. And so we wait while the list of suspects is complied, complete with Cullot's movie star wife. With murder mysteries, it's hard to write a review without giving things away, so I'll just say that if you're looking for a who-dun-it read, full of humor and endearing characters, sprinkled with the spice of intrigue....then disappear to your computer and one click this one!
The Case of the Disappearing Corpses Inspector Inspector Cullot Mystery Series Book 3 by Alan Hardy. Inspector isn't simply diabolically clever, he has a team of renowned detectives including Sergeant Watkins and Cullot’s beautiful daughter, Stephanie. Corpses are disappearing all over London. The first one is far from the last. Suspects are everywhere, sometimes friends and colleagues;, even Cullot's lover. Hordes of clues and corpses lead to a ruthless gang, sexy women, and the swank set... Everything you want in an Englsih mystery is here, from the posh country house to the bloody crimes themselves. If you're looking for a new detective for the 21st century, Cullot and his merry band may be precisely what you're hoping for.
This is the first in the series that I have read. What a delightful surprise! I don't know if any other reader has identified it as clearly as I have seen but the book, from start to finish, is a compete play. Almost a comedic farce. Something very difficult to do yet this author seems to have the ability to let it flow from his pen (er...key board) as easily as brewing a cuppa. lol How's that for a proper British analogy?

The author uses one of my favorite locations London. We Americans have a genetic predisposition to anything across the great pond having to do with our beloved cousins.

I can see myself sitting in an uncomfortable seat in a London theater (or on Broadway for that matter) laughing every time Blunt chastised Stephanie about her cutting remark to him in his mournful hangdog yet formal and unheeded objections. The precise placement of the remarks
so as to elicit the expected laugh that would tickle the audience comes to be one of the special moments well remembered from the "play." I remember the same literary device employed in a play I saw on Broadway after its London run staring Petula Clark and David Cassidy. I can't remember the plot but guess what I DO remember?

The small amount of colorful main characters (distinct personalities, all) and the secondary layer of suspects combined with a small amount of scene locations lends an easy construct for the physical performance of the "play." It boggles my mind that is has been set up so perfectly. I wonder if anyone else has recognized it? I wonder if the author himself has? No, he must. This is a skill that many authors just can't adapt to because of its difficulty.

By the way...did I mention the unlikely suitor DOES get the gorgeous disdainful dame?
